Configuration of the VPN IPSec tunnel |
The actual VPN connection is configured in the IPSec Peers menu.
Go to VPN -> IPSec -> IPSec Peers -> New.
VPN -> IPSec -> IPSec Peers -> New
Proceed as follows to make the settings in the IPSec peer:
For Description, enter a description of the peer which identifies it, e.g. VPN_Client1 .
Leave the field empty under Peer Address.
The Peer-ID must match the local ID value of the remote terminal, e.g. E-mail Address type, and enter User1@bintec-elmeg.com .
For Preshared Key, enter the password for the encrypted connection, e.g. test .
For IP Address Assignment, select the Server in IKE Configuration Mode setting. An IP address is then assigned to the bintec Secure IPSec Client when a connection is established.
Select IPSec Pool for IP Assignment Pool.
Under Local IP Address, enter the IP address of the LAN interface of the router, e.g. 192.168.0.254 .
Press OK to confirm your entries.
