Readme for system software 7.1.16 PATCH 4

The following changes have been made to our software since the release of system software 7.1.16. They have been included in system software 7.1.16 PATCH 4 which is available from Funkwerk Entwerprise Communications web server for the X2250.


1. IP Accounting - Panic after Activation
   (ID 3821 / X-2250 / 7.1.16)
============================================================
After activating IP Accounting the gateway panics and reboots.

The problem has been solved.


2. Setup Tool - False MAC Address Displayed
   (ID 3846 / X2250 / 7.1.16)
============================================================
After specifying a MAC address for any of the Ethernet interfaces, the menus for the configuration of the remaining interfaces will show the same MAC Address.
This is a display Problem only. 

The problem has been solved.


3. Bridging - Packet Loss or Corruption
   (ID 3875 / X2250 / 7.1.16)
===================================================
After activating Bridging, data transfer on the Ethernet interfaces can be lossy or corrupted.

The Problem has been solved.


4. Setup Tool - Display Reset in Monitoring Menu
   (ID 2633 / X2250 / 7.1.16)

The values displayed in [Monitoring and Debugging > xDSL Credits > PPPoE Credits] are reset to "0" two seconds after you enter the menu.

The Problem has been solved.


5. Setup Tool - Load Balancing Configuration Incorrectly Written to MIB
   (ID 3680 / X2250 / 7.1.16)

When configuring IP Load Balancing over Multiple Interfaces with Distribution Policy = "service/source-based routing", wrong entries are written to the ipExtRtTable. This may lead to a malfunction of the Load Balancing.

The problem has been solved.


6. Bridging - Memory Leak
   (ID 3680 / X2250 / 7.1.16)

A memory leak occours if the spanning tree message is not forwarded because the message is to old.

The problem has been solved.
 

7. Setup Tool - Exit After Enteringt Monitoring Menu
   (ID 2633 / X2250 / 7.1.16)

Entering the Monitoring Menu closes the Setup Tool.

The problem has been solved.


8. Setup Tool - Routing Entries Corrupted
   (ID 3576 / X2250 / 7.1.16)

When a WAN partner route with transit network is edited in [IP > Routing > ADD/EDIT] the route type is nevertheless displayed as "route without transit network". When confirming with SAVE, the transit network configuration is lost.

The problem has been solved.

9. Syslog  - "Dump" Causes Stack Trace
   (ID 3648 / X2250 / 7.1.16)

Choosing "dump" for [Security > Access Lists > Interfaces > EDIT]: Reporting Method causes a stack trace when packets are actually discarded and the packet content is dumped to the syslog message.

The problem has been solved.


10. Setup Tool - Routing Entries Corrupted
   (ID 3576 / X2250 / 7.1.16)

When a WAN partner route with transit network is edited in [IP > Routing > ADD/EDIT] the route type is nevertheless displayed as "route without transit network". When confirming with SAVE, the transit network configuration is lost.

The problem has been solved.


11. PPPoE  - Negotiation Timeout to short

The PPPoE negotiation timeout (2s) was to short for some special scenarios.

The negotiation timeout has been increased to 4 seconds.
