Readme for system software 7.1.2 PATCH 2 ======================================== ======================================== The following changes have been made to our software since the release of system software 7.1.2. They have been included in system software 7.1.2 PATCH 2 which is available from BinTec's web server for allVPN-Access Products. New Features: ============= 1) IPSec – IPSec with RADIUS ( all products ) ======================================================= RADIUS Support for interface based IPSec connections has been implemented. 2) Setup – Licenses Menu ( all products ) ======================================================= The Licenses Menu has been reinserted into the Setup Tool. 3) HTML Wizard - Support of German Language ( VPN Access 5, VPN Access 25 ) ======================================================= System software 7.1.2 PATCH 2 provides support for installing further languages. In order to install support for an additional language you will need a TFTP server that allows the gateway to download the respective language file. The Dime Tools contained in BRICKware for Windows provide a TFTP server. Moreover, your gateway must have a working IP configuration in order to be able to download the language file from your PC via the TFTP server. Proceed as follows: - Download the language file of your choice from our web server. The file name is composed of the language you want supported and the type of your gateway (e.g. german.x5s for German language file for VPN Acces 5, 25 and 100). - Copy or move the language file to the root directory of your TFTP server and start the server. - Log in to your gateway as admin. - Download the file from you PC (make sure to insert the IP address of the PC that runs the TFTP server): update , e.g. update 192.168.0.1 german.x5s. The language file is now available on your gateway, further steps are not necessary. Bugfixes: ========= 1) ETH - Auto Negotiation on Ethernet Interface ( VPN Access 5, VPN Access 25 ) ======================================================= Using Auto Negotiation as Ethernet Mode could lead to bad Ethernet performance, if the necessary setting was not determined correctly. The problem has been solved. 2) HTML Wizard ( VPN Access 5, VPN Access 25 ) ==================================================== There were a number of small errors in the HTML Wizard. The problems have been solved. 3) System - Factory Reset ( VPN Access 5, VPN Access 25 ) ==================================================== The Factory Reset mode was not working. The problem has been solved. 4) AUX ( VPN Access 5, VPN Access 25 ) ==================================================== External Devices which were connected on the AUX Port were not working. The problem has been solved. 5) SSH - SSH Login ( VPN Access 5, VPN Access 25 ) ==================================================== The SSH Login was not working. The problem has been solved. 6) IPSec – Back Route Verify ( all products ) ==================================================== Packets were dropped if Back Route Verificaion was activated on the physical interface over which the IPSec Tunnel was established and if IPComp was activated on the IPSec connection. The problem has been solved. 7) IPSec – BRRP & IPSec ( all products ) ==================================================== IPSec was not working if BRRP was configured. The problem has been solved. 8) Setup – WAN Partner IP Menu ( all products ) ==================================================== There were a number of small errors in the WAN Partner IP menu. The problems have been solved. 9) RADIUS – RADIUS Dialout ( all products ) ==================================================== The reload interval for RADIUS Dialout was not working. The problem has been solved. 10) RADIUS – MS-CHAP V2 & MPPE ( all products ) ==================================================== It was not possible to use a RADIUS Server for connections using MS-CHAP V2 & MPPE. The problem has been solved.
